Valentin Nguyen, a graduating senior now on her way to UCLA, received a $1000 scholarship that the Organization of Women Architects and Design Professionals provides to one graduating female identifying senior from YAX each year. Valentin also received a Congressional Art Award from House Speaker Nancy Pelosi for her piece “I am a star?”. Her piece “I Want to Afford to Live” also hung in the San Francisco City Hall’s San Francisco Youth Commission exhibit this spring. We are so proud of Valentin, who took classes with YAX for years, and are happy to see her work recognized and celebrated!
