In celebration of the amazing work Youth Art Exchange's young artists have created this session against all odds, we will be coming together for our annual spring exhibition virtually! Join us this Thursday, May 14th from 6-7pm for IN FOCUS as all faculty, staff, and youth meet to showcase work and close out the spring session. Open to the public!

Youth will showcase their work from our Darkroom Photography, Fashion Design, Printmaking, Industrial + Product Design, Advanced Architecture Firm, and Recording Studio classes. Our students are all San Francisco public high school youth, and our classes are free and taught by professional artists.

Youth Art Exchange (YAX)'s Summer Exhibition, with the theme of growth, will showcase work made by our ArtBUILD (architecture + fashion design), Printmaking, Music Production, and Filmmaking arts intensive students. YDM: Youth Digital Music Festival is a San Francisco youth musician showcase, featuring live performances, DJ sets, and original music. YDM is presented by Youth Art Exchange and supported by the Youth Empowerment Fund.

Performers include The DJ Project, Today’s Future Sound, Xanubis, Last Minute Entertainment, and Youth Art Exchange music production students. Bay Area luminaries speaking at YDM include DJ/Producer/Today’s Future Sound staff Ray Reck and KQED Arts editor Nastia Voynovskaya.

Join us for our ribbon cutting for our Architecture Firm's  Mobile Meditation Station in the Community Grows Koshland Garden from 4-6pm. In partnership with Community Grows BEETS (Band of Environmentally Educated & Employable Teens). Thanks to Kali Gordon, our previous Architecture faculty!
