Youth Art Exchange (YAX) is excited to offer a summer internship for passionate individuals eager to support youth creativity and engage in meaningful art education.
About the Internship
At YAX, we believe in nurturing creativity and empowering youth through the arts. Interns will work alongside our talented teaching artists and staff to support summer art programs and community events. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain experience in art education, program coordination, and youth engagement.
Responsibilities:
Assist teaching artists in preparing and managing art materials for classes.
Provide one-on-one and group support to students during art activities.
Encourage creativity and collaboration among students.
Help maintain a clean and organized classroom space.
Support youth in exploring diverse artistic mediums, including painting, collage, and sculpture.
Qualifications:
Current SFUSD H.S Student
Passion for working with youth and fostering creativity.
Interest in or background in the arts.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to create a positive and inclusive environment for students.
