YAX Fashion Design and Printmaking students showcased their work on May 11, 2019 at Root Division’s New Growth: Shared Stories, an annual Youth Art Exhibition + Extravaganza. Our Music Production student Urban DJed the reception! Pictured are our Fashion Design class with YAX fashion faculty artist Francesca Mateo who is also the Filipinx Teaching Artist Fellow at Root Division. The Fashion students put on a runway show of their original designs from this spring and photos from their look books were up in the space, along with large scale prints by our Printmaking students ("It's called a school zone not a war zone" by Lillian and "My body my choice" by Emma, some of our advanced printmaking students).
