MUVAEARTH is an environmentally-focused art show that solely features the artwork of women of color, organized by Johanna Cervantes and Miranda Matos. The art will be centered on environmentalism and the questions: “What does is it mean it be an environmentalist, an artist, and a women of color? How does this manifest itself in your art?” Artists include: Marisa Cain who upcycles discarded clothing and Giselle Fernandez who uses recycled pizza boxes as canvases. Haley James will be speaking on food sovereignty.
