Free Animation Workshop with Sirron Norris – YAX Black Artist Series

BLACKARTISTSERIES-03 (2).png

This free 2-Hour class with Sirron Norris, co-taught by Brendon Metcalf, will be a basic overview of character design, character expression, and an introduction to 4 of the 12 fundamentals of animation: Squash and stretch, staging, anticipation and pose to pose animation. Our goal is to get almost anyone to be able to get a character to move and interact with an object. We will be focusing on traditional animation using only traditional tools: pencil, paper, and eraser. The final goal is to have one complete animated scene with the student's own concept.

Technology needed for this course: Laptop, tablet, or smartphone to access LIVE Zoom 2-Hour Class

Materials needed for this course: 8.5x11 paper (minimum 12 pieces), pencil, and eraser

There are 25 spots in this workshop, sign up now! Participants will receive a Zoom link for the workshop after signing up.
