All classes have a mandatory orientation on February 6th 4-6pm at YAX (29 Howth Street).

 FALL 2017 classes

ADVANCED ARCHITECTURE FIRM: Design and construct projects in San Francisco like a professional architecture firm. You will come up with concepts individually and as a class, have experts review your designs, and build them for clients. ** Instructor approval required** Tuesday & Thursday 4–6PM

BLACK + WHITE FILM PHOTOGRAPHY: Explore black + white photogra- phy by learning how cameras work, going on photoshoots, and developing your own prints in a professional darkroom. Monday 4–6pm & Saturday 3–7PM

DIGITAL BEATMAKING: Work with professional DJ softward and equipment to make your own beats, sample music, and perform DJ. Monday & Wednesday 4–6PM

FASHION DESIGN: Design and sew your own original fashion pieces + clothing. Learn to use sewing machines, hand stitch, and work with different fabrics and dyes, too. Monday & Wednesday 4–6PM

FILM-MAKING: Learn to write, direct, and edit your own short films as well as collabo- rating with other students to tell their stories. We will learn how all aspects of film production like screenwriting, pre-production, cinematography, directing, sound design, animation, and editing. At the end of the semester we will have a film festival to show off all of our films that we made. Monday & Wednesday 4–6PM

DANCE: Learn contemporary dance moves in a variety of different styles and choreagraph dances with others for performances. Monday & Wednesday 4–6PM

INTRO TO ARCHITECTURE + CONSTRUCTION: Learn how to design and construct projects in San Francisco. You will come up with concepts individually and as a class, have experts review your designs, and build prototypes, in partnership with John O’Connell High Schools’ Building, Construction, and Trades Lab. Tuesday & Thursday 4–6:30PM

PRINTMAKING: Create your own graphics to print on t-shirts, material, and paper. Replicate your ideas, designs, and drawings in a professional printshop. Tuesday & Thursday 4–6PM
